Five activits were released on bail after more than 100 days of detention
Five activists of the Trade Unions, Student Unions and members of the FLSP were arrested on the 3rd of August during protesting against passing the Kothalawala Defence Academy University Bill in the parliament. Even though all 5 members were released on bail after the High Court ruling, the organisers of the Trades Unions, Student Unions, and FLSP claimed that they were not satisfied with how the judicial process was conducted.
